Kauai's North Shore

Find shadowy mountains, lush valleys and spectacular coastlines along a string of one-lane bridges.

Wai'oli Hui'ia Church

The Wai`oli Mission was established by American Christian Missionaries in 1834. Deborah Kapule, the dowager Queen of Kaua`i and an earnest convert, assisted in establishing the Mission. Governor Kaikioewa of Kaua`i provided the land, and encouraged the Mission in many ways. The Wai`oli Church grew under the guidance of Hawaiian ministers. By 1945 the Anini Church and the Haena Church had joined with the Wai`oli Church to form the Wai`oli Hui`ia Church.

Limahuli Garden

This garden encompasses 1,000 acres of lush Hawaiian valley and was selected by the American Horticultural Society in 1997 as the best natural botanical garden in the United States.

Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens

Na`Aina Kai, "Lands by the Sea" in Hawaiian, is ever-evolving and unique among the world's botanical gardens. Spanning 240 acres, Na 'Aina Kai is a living mosaic of 13 diverse and bounteous gardens, a hardwood plantation, a moss- and fern-draped canyon, and a pristine sandy beach, stretching between a meadow and the aquamarine waters of the Pacific. Gracing the gardens and wild areas throughout this once-private estate are more than 70 bronze sculptures, one of the nation's largest collections.

Kauai Museum

The Kauai Museum is the cultural Sanctuary for the art and artifacts of Native Hawaiians and it nurtures the creative spirit of today's artists.
